The Magnitude of A Freckle
presented at The Bryant Lake Bowl as part of “Quickies 2009″
The story goes something like this:
Once upon a time, there was a cardboard boy who lived in a cardboard house with his cardboard parents. At the age of four he began to learn, as all of us do, that he was different. His clues were many and his science infallible. The final clue was the freckles on his arms numbering 27 on the left and 42 on the right. While not able to decipher the freckles, he knew they were a message or code to be cracked revealing his true self. On his tenth birthday (I should mention it is also his Golden Birthday) something strange and wonderful began to happen.
