The worst injury you’ve ever had. The way an orange smells. Your grandmother’s face. Is memory a divining rod that orients us to our personal past and knits a web of collective consciousness? Is it what happened or the alchemy of how it’s remembered that influences the present and the future? In a house constructed of memories, servants with tea trays and an old woman rummage through the past to create a present.

This original piece is a company-created project with text assistance from Jeremy Pickard (playwright of last year’s Uranus) that will be performed at the Tilsner Artists’ Cooperative in Lowertown Saint Paul April 16-20 and in conjunction with the Saint Paul Art Crawl April 24-26. This project is designed not only as a stand-alone piece but an all-day event in collaboration with the visual artists of the Tilsner.
