Upright Egg Presents “The Goodbye Project” Opens March 4th!
The Goodbye Project is an exploration of letting go and moving on. As one person contemplates leaving the comfort and safety of the 9-5 grind and seek new opportunities in a new city, another is called home to reunite with a family left behind long ago. The two are observed on their separate journeys by a trio of mysterious beings
The project continues in Upright Egg’s over-a-decade reputation of presenting devised work- in industrial basements across the Twin Cities, Shakespeare in city parks, in homemade cave tours (and caves) in artist loft spaces, and playfully tackling topics mundane and profound. The company also is continuing their tradition of theatre for all with pay-what-you-can tickets for every performance.
Brian O’Neal directs the original story devised by the company with co-collaborater Mark Benzel and playwright Brian Watson-Jones.
The Goodbye Project features a cast of Eric Balcerzak, Timothy Daly, Shannon Foy, Gail Kowsky, Bethany McHugh, Joey Ripley, Tom S. Tea, and Rob Ward. The design team includes Set design from Mandi Johnson, Lights by Julia Carlis, Costumes by Samantha Kuhn Staneart, and Sound by Joshua Stallings.
To reserve tickets, please email uprightegg@gmail.com with your name, number of tickets you’d like, and date of the performance you’d like to attend. Or call 612-978-3134.

A Little Help?
Upright Egg is bringing a brand new show, “The Goodbye Project” into the world on March 4th, 2016.
Oh, I Remember Now – Making Theater Isn’t Free
Our Costs are minimal – we want to pay the performers and designers, and pay for the spaces in which we will rehearse and perform. We operate within a lens of sustainability and will make the most of used, recycled, energy efficient and found materials to build our set, light the stage, costume our performers and market our show.
We’ll only get there with you, like we’ve done so many times before. We’re excited to share this new project with all of you!

A Work in Progress
We’re slowly putting old Humpty Dumpty back together again–
Starting over means you can play with the format a bit.
We’re going to keep The Present Project separated from the rest of our shows as its own page. Just seems like the thing to do…
I miss the old website — What’s the Deal?
Yes, the old website is gone. This is the new one.
We’re going to build it up for you over the next few days, weeks, months.
in the meantime . . .
Happy Upright Egg Day
(AKA the Vernal Equinox)
Myth states that on this day, you can stand an Egg Upright and doing so provides balance to your home and life for the following year.
Whoops!
Hey, What Happened to Uprightegg.com?
It’s been eaten up, but don’t worry, we will re-build it!
